Behind the Scenes in our Winter Immersion

We just completed week two of our Microdosing for Healing Winter Immersion Program and I’m so very proud of the incredible work everyone is doing - loving & bragging on them a bit today, and sharing the elements they're bringing to the process that are igniting an already-profound experience for many!

- Exceptional self-awareness & self-honesty. This group is bringing an exceptional willingness to be honest, open, coachable, and look straight into their experience - even the hard, tender, uncomfortable stuff. Whether it's dipping into our shadows, ways we self-sabotage, or occasionally act like a&sh*les 😂, they are owning it and in turn being gifted with greater emotional mastery, depth, nuance and compassion.

- Catching themselves when they're getting too hung up in their minds, intellectualizing, trying to control the practice, assigning fixed expectations, or striving to "figure it out." So much of working with earth medicines is allowing for the wider perspective & wisdom inherent in nature: bringing our devotion, but also surrendering, letting go and trusting. We are so incredibly conditioned to 'do' our way through life & our intentions; it's a constant practice to de-condition and 'allow.' It's not easy to overcome decades of immersive conditioning, but this group is whole-heartedly embracing the challenge!

- Being remarkably present to each others' experience. In our modern academic & healing systems, who we're with is often a gaping blind spot - we don’t often factor that into the equation or give it credit, when in reality it matters a lot. Who we're with matters...deeply! There is a magic & quickening that happens when we share a focused, intentional moment, presence & container. Each of the participants are as present and invested in each other's stories as they are their own, which in turn heals, inspires & ignites their own growth and compounds their learning & experience.

- Openness & willingness to be taught by spirit & nature. It's incredibly mind-bending to work with earth medicines and experience - sometimes near-instantly - relief from decades-long symptoms. There's often an understandable element of "is this too good to be true?" "Am I going to be disappointed later?" Or, "I'm not working hard enough to deserve all of this."

We've been conditioned to believe that healing is uniformly "hard work," that we need to effort, sacrifice and be overly serious about it all. But working with earth medicine and nature, you'll see it is that, but so very much more! “Nature Time” is vastly different than “Human Time,” and we can also heal just as readily in our dreams, during play, listening to another’s story, following our joy, by being seen, falling in love, connecting with nature, expressing ourselves creatively and - believe it or not - resting & “doing” nothing! Everyone in the immersion is doing a remarkable job opening their minds & hearts to the many contrary-to-ordinary ways we heal.

- Holding the spectrum of humanity with grace & poise. So much of healing & growth is cultivating the ability to receive the gifts of nature-connection, magic, creativity, intuition & integration alongside and simultaneously with deep release, cathartic tears, dense grief, physical pain moving out of the body, and the need for extended rest. It’s a tension that requires trust, resilience and maturity — it’s an art to hold both the promise & discomfort simultaneously. And in that tension we come to understand the deeper our capacity for one, the greater our capacity for the other. Witnessing these inspiring, strong and brave spirits embrace their soul work & ascend in their evolution is the most beautiful honor. Bravo everyone, and you’re just getting started!

Grateful to all of you out there educating, participating, holding & offering this work, and advocating for intentional practice with earth medicines. Curious? Please visit us online to learn more in our free 101 Workshop, from our talented podcast guests and explore upcoming programs.
