From Information to Transformation: The Future of Healing
Next week we’re wrapping up our third cohort of our Microdosing Facilitator Training, and in opening yesterday’s session guest teacher Tiffany Hurd shared with them I’ve been bragging on them behind their backs. 🤣 (True story.) In lieu of graded quizzes or standardized testing, throughout our twelve week training I’m carefully watching them - observing their presence, the questions they ask, what they’re up to on social media, how they engage with and receive teachings from each unique guest teacher and guide… witnessing them the same way we witness our clients on the medicine path.
I’m less interested in how much they have memorized or know, and very interested in their embodiment, their openness and curiosity. How deeply they are grounded and inside their bodies. What sacred medicine practice has meant for their own personal healing & growth, and how is the medicine moving through them today. Are they standing with strength and leadership in their own personal life experience to enable them to hold that for another. Have they moved through portal after portal of their own deep healing journey to arrive at a place oriented outward, toward the service of others?
Artificial Intelligence or - as I prefer to refer to it, “Amplified Intelligence” - is catalyzing an already natural evolution happening in our education, learning and academic frameworks, particularly around our health and healing.
Imagine being able to speak your thoughts, feelings and symptoms into your device, and - within seconds - receiving a thoughtful, complete consultation, information about your likely diagnoses, and detailed instructions for your treatment. From home, for free!
This reality is on the way… and this means we are rapidly approaching a seachange in the way we value information, as well as a massive re-evaluation in what is truly most effective it comes to our healing, learning and growth. Our educational and healthcare systems up-until-now have been centered around establishing experts and bestowing authorities with exclusive information, and passing that ‘information’ onto their audience, students, and clients for memorization… accumulated and commodified knowledge exchanged for a price.
But this work - this practice, art, craft, ritual and science of earth medicine healing - is not learned through INFORMATION. It is not learned through reciting research, or learning historical facts, or human opinion. It’s not learned from academic authorities, memorizing the statements of others, passing research around, or claiming superficial or imagined expertise.
This work is TRANSFORMATIONAL - unique, personal, experiential, earthy, embodied, and emanates from and through the self, soul and body. Through steady, quiet, often-invisible, humble repetition. Often solitary, more listening than talking, more feeling than facts. Sitting, and serving - over and over and over again. That’s what builds true mastery in our work and craft, and suddenly - days, weeks, months and years later - we are transformed by the practice itself. We become an extension of the medicine, and nature directs and speaks through us, gently guiding us forward.
It’s not a coincidence that AI is arriving to eliminate the human’s role to provide and offer information, because the honest truth is: more information is not what is most required for our evolution. We’ve never had more information at our fingertips, yet we have not developed our human consciousness commensurately. What is most required now is our transformation: the development of our consciousness, presence, awareness and embodiment. AI will make top-tier information very accessible - no expert, investment or degree required! - making true paths of human transformation the most coveted, rare and valuable learning of all.
How will this impact our role as therapists, coaches, guides and clinicians? How will it affect us as consumers, clients and colleagues of healing services and practitioners? When everyone can collect facts and information at our fingertips - for free - what will people seek out?? EXPERIENCE. EMBODIMENT. APPRENTICESHIP. BECOMING. More than ever, as healing artists and guides, we will need not talk, but show. To offer participation in the direct experience, and allow people to learn and grow through mentorship and mastery, no longer being assessed by tests and memorization. The most valuable skills for future guides will not be facts, but INTUITION, CLEAR ENERGY, EARNED WISDOM, TRUE SIGHT, and INNER VISION. Learning will be spoken, still, but will also happen through presence, through the body, through transmission, and channeling. Spiritual clarity, emotional maturity and soul development will become far more important and valuable than academic institutional degrees, chronological age or letters behind a name.
Whether I’m guiding individuals and groups in our Immersion Programs, or coaching healers & guides in our Facilitator Training, the awareness of this coming shift infuses everything we create and offer. We ground our practices together in human understanding and familiar learning, but the magic is in the doing. The feeling. The witnessing & pattern recognition. The embodied knowing. These are the ingredients of true transformation, serving as the bridge to our evolving human consciousness and supporting the cultivation of sovereign leadership in our lives.
